Some important dates to remember... Regional Mentored Youth Day is March 28, 2020 with Regional Opening Day being April 4th, 2020. Here in Central PA and Statewide Mentored youth day is April 11th, 2020, and Statewide opening day is April 18th, 2020. As usual The Big Bald Eagle Trout Tournament will kick things off this year. The dates for this great tourney are April 25th, and 26st, 2020. I have posted the tourney dates I know of for now. If you know a date, tourney, kids derby, or information on any tourney email me and I will get it added. With everyone helping we can make this the best tourney page in Pennsylvania for 9 years now. Not only have I used their products in NY catching monster Kings, Steelhead, and Browns, but I want you to know how nice of a company they are. I contacted the owner Sandy, a week ago, asking for a donation to help us with our raffle. Our Spring gathering we have for the LHU Flyfishing Club is our biggest fundraiser. With the money we raise we donate to multiple Trout Co ops that raise fish and stock them for children, veterans, and handicap fisherman. They are responsible for most of the expense for the raising of the fry and stocking. The Bald Eagle Trout Tournament is run by a Co op that raises these fish and stocks them. To keep our sport going we need to assist these co ops in their efforts. Sandy got back to me and not only offered a generous donation for our raffle, but also offered beads and equipment to assist our club with teaching new anglers the sport. Its companies like Sandy's that with their generosity help keep our sport alive and well. I want to offer a big thank you to Sandy and her company for all she is doing for us. I will work hard to keep tourneys updated on here and important information as we start the new decade and beyond. I have been fishing trout tourneys since I was a little fella and now i take my daughters too. To me there is no greater joy then setting up camp, meeting old friends and making new ones for a weekend along the great PA trout streams. One thing I have found is that there is not a single website that lists all of the PA trout tourneys with dates, details and discussions. Hence fisherman rely on word of mouth to find trout tournaments. So I decided to design a webpage made just for trout fishermen who love going to tagged trout tourneys in PA, both kid derbies and adult.
